Summary Paper and Recommendations on Four Statistical Areas for the Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, and Republic of Palau
This summary report, prepared by the Graduate School USA’s EconMAP team, was developed under a technical assistance contract with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It presents comparative data across the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), and the Republic of Palau on key economic and social indicators affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The report highlights trends from FY2020 through FY2023 in four shared priority areas—migration, remittances, foreign direct investment (FDI), and small and medium enterprises (SMEs)—and synthesizes country-specific data to support regional policy dialogue and coordinated planning. The summary is designed to complement country-level reports and inform efforts to strengthen resilience and data capacity across the Freely Associated States.
